Pema Jungne

Pema Jungne, also known as Pemasambha, is one of the eight manifestations of Padmasambhava and represents eight significant events in his life. He is often seen as a reincarnation of the Buddha due to his actions paralleling those of the historical Buddha. He was adopted as the heir of the Oddiyana King, but chose to leave royal life and meditate in graveyards and charnel grounds. He is depicted wearing the robes of a monk, a blue shirt and pants, and a red Nyingma hat. In one hand he holds a skull-cup and with the other he makes a teaching gesture, signifying his initiation into Mahayana teachings.
